AI builders like Lovable, Bolt, Cursor, Replit and v0 make it possible to ship an app in an afternoon. They also make it easy to ship an API key in your JavaScript or a public .env file without noticing. SniffPup is a fast, passive check for those common, costly mistakes, with fixes written as prompts you can paste straight back into your AI builder.

Who we are

SniffPup is a product of Ember and Saru LLC, a small, independent North Carolina company.

Meet Ember

Ember is a real black Pomeranian and our mascot. She notices everything, which is the job we built SniffPup to do for your app. (The blazer picture is a styled illustration of Ember.)

How we work

  • Free scans are passive and read-only: we look only at what any visitor's browser can see, plus a short list of well-known file paths. Full scanner details.
  • Secrets we find are always masked, and we never use them.
  • Database checks run only on sites whose owner has verified ownership.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
