Smoke tests for your app
A small set of tests written for your app. You run them on your own computer, and they check that sign-up, login and checkout work, and that one user can't see another user's data.
SniffPup only writes the tests. We never log in to, sign up on or pay on your app.
1. Check what your app uses
Pick what your app uses. The tests are written to match.
Quickest: one command
In your terminal, run this in the folder where you keep your projects. It writes the basic pack into a new
sniffpup-smokefolder and tells you what to do next. It makes no network calls.npx sniffpup-smokePrefer a download? Use the ZIP below. Package: sniffpup-smoke on npm.
2. Download your test pack
- Sign-up works. Opens your sign-up page, fills in a new email and password and checks you land signed in (or on a 'check your email' page).
- Login works. Logs in with your test account A and checks a signed-in page loads.
- Wrong password is refused. Tries test account A with a wrong password and checks it is turned away.
3. Run it on your computer
Create test account A in your app. Fill in the
.envfile in the pack, then run:unzip sniffpup-smoke-pack.zip -d sniffpup-smoke && cd sniffpup-smoke && npm install && npx playwright install chromium && npm run smokeYour results show in your terminal, with what each failure means and a prompt for your AI helper. Your passwords and data never leave your computer.
4. Paste your summary (optional)
The pack prints a short block that starts with SNIFFPUP-SMOKE v1. It holds only pass, fail or skip for each test.
