CheckVibe and SniffPup are built for the same people, developers shipping apps with AI tools, but they're different sizes. CheckVibe is a full security platform you connect your app, code and backend to. SniffPup is a quick passive scan of a live URL. Here's an honest look at both.
What CheckVibe does well
- Real breadth. One dashboard covers your live app, your code (SAST, dependencies and secrets), pull requests and cloud config, ranked by impact with a fix for each finding.
- It reads from the inside too. Connect GitHub and your Supabase backend and it audits code, tables, RLS policies and buckets, which no outside scan can see.
- It keeps watch after the scan: daily monitoring and live threat detection from Pro, plus 60-second uptime probes.
- It fits into developer workflows: an MCP server for Claude, Cursor and other agents, a REST API, PDF and Markdown exports, and (on Team plans) PR security reviews and AutoFix pull requests.
- Its pricing page is unusually thorough, with a row-by-row plan comparison, and every plan starts with a 14-day free trial.

- You want one fix-up for one app without a subscription: the $19 report.

FAQ
Is CheckVibe or SniffPup better for a vibe-coded app?
It depends on what you can connect. If you can link your repo and Supabase project, CheckVibe sees far more, including code and policies. If you want a passive look at your live URL with nothing to connect, SniffPup's free scan needs only the URL (CheckVibe also has free standalone checkers). They work well together.
Does SniffPup scan my code like CheckVibe?
No. SniffPup only reads what your live site serves to any visitor. For code, dependencies and pull requests, a tool that connects to your repo, like CheckVibe, is the right choice.
Does a clean SniffPup scan mean my app is secure?
No. It means the common mistakes an outside scan looks for weren't found. It can't see your code, server logic or database policies.
