Ember now sniffs your HTTPS certificate

New trick! Every SniffPup scan now checks your HTTPS certificate with one normal TLS connection, just like a browser. The free scan tells you whether it's valid and how many days it has left. The Full Fix Report adds the issuer and whether it covers your domain name.

Why it matters: if a certificate expires or is untrusted, browsers show visitors a warning instead of your app.

Check it yourself

1. Open your live site and click the icon next to the address bar.
2. Open the certificate details and look at the expiry date and the names it covers.

Fix it

1. Your host usually renews certificates automatically. If yours is close to expiring, check that renewal is working.
2. Added a custom domain? Make sure it's connected in your host so it gets its own certificate.
